Chestertown Quarry & Plant Respond to Storm Damage

Nov 19, 2019 | Community, News, Projects

The Chestertown quarry crew rallied to help NYSDOT crews and local municipalities after a narrow band of 5+” of rain came down on Halloween evening. Many roads in Warren, Essex and Hamilton Counties were closed after sustaining heavy damages. Over 20,000 tons of aggregate products went out in the immediate aftermath.

Our blacktop plant in Chester remained open until mid-November to complete restoration efforts, despite temperatures hitting single digits and the complications of early snowstorms.
